Seruvalsar lake (spelled also as Sirolsar lake, Serolsar or Serulsar lake) is situated at an altitude of 3100 mts.   To reach the lake first you have to reach Jalori pass which is 76 kms from Kullu or if you are coming from Mandi, the distance is 85 km.  First you reach Banjar, a small beautiful town located amidst the greenery all around.  From Banjar Jalori Pass is 20 km.   One can halt at Jalori pass where there are few shops for refreshments etc.  After a halt at Jalori pass, one can start the trek to the  Serolsar Lake which is about 6 kms from the pass.   The holy lake can be reached after trekking appx 4 hours through dense forests full of oak, blue pine, spruce, fir and deodar trees.   At one point during the trek one comes onto a ridge from where the inner Seraj valley beyond can be seen one side and the  outer Seraj valley on the other end.   The panoramic view is simply mind blowing worth spending few moments enjoying the beauty. However,  one must keep in mind that the weather begins to worsen anytime in the afternoon.  One must also carry your own water and food though are some dhabas selling biscuits and Maggie noodles on the way to the lake
